The Red Lion is situated in the village of Welwyn in Hertfordshire, just a mile to the north of Welwyn Garden City.
The village is located close to the A1, where the 6-lane motorway merges into 4-lanes.
A number of bus routes operate throughout the area, linking the village to the nearby towns of Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, St Albans, and Hemel Hempstead.
If you’re travelling by train, the nearest station is Welwyn North Railway Station, located approximately one mile away in the nearby village of Digswell.

For an insight into the history of the area, Welwyn Roman Baths allows you to explore the remains of the former bathhouse and learn about how the Romans liked to relax.
